| Challenge: | A large regional blood center was in need of a donor recruitment partner that could reactivate one to three year lapsed donors, in an effort to stabilize the region’s blood supply. Due to capacity issues, the blood center’s existing tele-recruiting vendor was unable to effectively penetrate the database beyond donors that had donated within the past year. Another challenge was to develop and execute a campaign that would achieve the blood center’s goals on a fixed cost per donor basis, while remaining profitable for Incept. |
| Solution: Executive Testing | Incept combined a two phase testing process that involved using our middle and upper management staff to develop the most compelling appeal possible. Following completion of phase one testing, a control group of call center agents was introduced to the program to calibrate (and subsequently project) performance and productivity output under rollout conditions. |
| Database Analysis: | Through extensive research and testing, Incept developed a regression analysis model that increased conversion percentage while decreasing unproductive dials. |
| Training: | All blood donor recruiting specialists were put through an extensive training program that included the blood bank standard operating procedures, as well as the principals and practices of the client specific donor loyalty program. This approach ensured that all appeals and messages had continuity with the client’s donor retention process. |
| Result: | Incept was successful in surpassing the project goal for lapsed donor recruitment. As a result, Incept was contracted to handle all whole blood tele-recruitment for this blood center. Incept is currently responsible for producing 70,000 units of blood annually to 14 fixed locations and over 100 mobile sites. |
